Do the games follow the anime where Pokeballs have two different sizes, or do they stay at a consistent size?

Considering all the elements the games have picked up from the anime (like Pokemon saying their own names now being incorporated into the dialogue when you interact with one in the overworld for example), it seems weird that probably the coolest innovation of the anime was left behind.
