Is just me seeing potential lacking in the Egg Groups? I mean, they're basically Pokemon archetypes whose games could explore with different ideas and gimmicks.
Also, suggest new egg groups not similar to that ones

More like we need fewer egg groups. More would change nothing except making some egg moves impossible to obtain.

Egg groups aren't actually content, they are just breeding values. As far as I care egg groups can go and everything can breed, I could not care less.

For example a Monster pokemon could have his attack raised by 10% each turn and also gain a resistance to fighting.

What would you call them?
Water 1 could easily become Amphibious
Water 2 could either become Fish if we ignore Octillery and Malamar, or Aquatic to me more generic
But what would you call Water 3? Most of them are aquatic invertebrates, but then we have shit like Drapion and fucking Archeops.
