If we'd gotten these games in Gen 5 (AKA when Game Freak still made an effort) then they would have been RSE remakes instead of just RS remakes, and that difference alone would've been enough to make them superior to what we got.

Let's Go Pee really needed another year of dev time. I wasn't even mad at a lot of the changes, especially as a side game, and just wish they went further with all the overworld stuff and went away from full square grid mode 1to1 recreation with the towns and routes. Restricting yourself to just the 151+ really could have led to going all out on making a more lively and interactable overworld. Maybe we'll get that the 5th time they redo Kantooooo.
