So why were people so mad about this anyways? The battle frontier was almost all just bad gimmicks except for the battle tower which was copy/pasted in as the battle subway/maison/tree anyways.

I don't care about remakes and wasn't going to play ORAS either way, but what I'm actually mad is the "lol have less content because smartphones" retarded statement he made to try and justify it.

It could been revised, or even simply more fun due to newer battle mechanics, and breaks a precedent going back to Crystal in its absence. These were always for a hyper-dedicated few; and yet somehow that never stopped Game Freak from adding them for most of 15 years.

The battle frontier is the only reason I bought the game. Dropped it after Flannery when I heard it was taken out. If you're going to remake a game, while removing impoortant features, you need to fucking tell your audience.
