What's Game Freak's excuse? Why doesn't Sword and Shield seem like the most ambitious Pokemon game ever when Three Houses feels like the most ambitious FE game ever. BotW feels like the most ambitious Zelda game ever, Smash Ultimate feels like the most ambitious Smash ever, etc.
