The Nessa one is some kind of rig fuckup that I can't even figure out. But it is actually an incredibly minor bug considering how fast it happens and how there's so much other shit going on in the shot that no one watching normally would focus on the bug. So it gets by on the same reason fighting games do when they have horrible rig problems (which a lot of them REALLY do).
And there's literally nothing wrong with Hop reusing that animation from Hau considering they probably do have similar personalities, the animation itself is solid, and they did update it by adding face motion for it to fit the facerig that all NPCs have now.
