But HGSS and BW and BW2 were all good. Hell BW2 was made at the same time as XY and Harmoknight at the same time and still ended up good.

They absorbed a lot of the people who did, though. The real logistical question is what that Stadium would correspond to, Sun and Moon? The hardware interactivity isn't there.

I agree, something like that could have helped. But by focusing on those things so much instead of the typical games as a whole, SwSh could have ended up worse

The games were dumb crashgrabs but had nice things in them.
The new gen could have been just a better looking Sun/Moon style game with roaming Pokémon and follower Pokémon since they had the animations ready.

It would make sense to do it but the why would they do something that makes sense?
