I live in one of many shitholes where Nintendo doesn't sell it's consoles so I resort to playing old GBA Pokémon games on my mobile but I still enjoy them. Currently playing emerald and it's amazing. I haven't played other gens yet but I'll use 3DS emulator on pc to play them.

If you want to call something that prioritizes forcing their pointless waifu down your throat over gameplay, level design and player freedom a game then sure. But thinking something like that is good when the series is supposed to be about adventures(not railroaded island tours) with your pokemon(not with

They're the only ones who don't sell consoles here officially. Sony has no problem selling their consoles, people don't usually buy Xbox here but Microsoft still haven't stopped selling it, most people can easily afford good PCs. It's just Nintendo that doesn't have any presence here. Some people still buy it though, but it's a gamble because it comes without a warranty.

I actually am playing USUM currently and just became the Pokemon Champion.

This is easily the worst Pokemon game ever made, but it also has a lot more love and care than I remembered and it turned me from a hardcore National Dexer into "wait and see, maybe actually buy sword and shield depending on non-shill reviews"

The hardest part is finding something to do while mashing the B button for 15 minutes straight every time I go anywhere.

I agree with you anon. There may be lack of post game but they did give us quite a bit to do whether we liked the gimmicks or not. Island scan, warp holes, battle tree (tower replacement), z stone, mega stone, the mini side quests (though not very fleshed out but it was something new), mantine surf, and the island challenge traditional league challenge. The worst thing about the games were the cutscenes.

As a person who doesn't mind cutscenes, seeing as there are so many other single player games with a lot more cutscenes than the Pokemon series as a whole, I enjoyed playing Pokemon Sun and Ultra Sun. Do I think what they pulled off with USUM is one of the most irredeemably shit moves ever, yes, but aside from how they forced the plot in a new direction without trying to fix the plot holes caused by doing something so stupid, the game is indeed enjoyable.

It's hilarious because so many other popular video game franchises have a lot more cutscenes in on of their games than the whole of the main series Pokemon games and it's only the Pokemon fans complaining about the cutscenes.

From what I've seen, the games with a New Game+ feature have a tendency of including the skip button only after beating the game once. Not all of them mind you, I'd say roughly a third. Still better than not including it at all.
