Adding monsters back over time to actually focus on the quality of each monster is absolutely fine. They couldn't get Lagiacrus to work in the base game, so perfected him to be included in a future update. Now he's in Iceborne.
Difference with Pokemon is next game, pokemon in swsh will be removed for different pokemon, like a cycle. MH only had to remove their monsters due to an entirely new modern engine and significantly improved visuals and gameplay, and theyve shown they are intent in their plan to bring all the monsters back.
I love Pokemon and want to give them benefit of the doubt, but its pretty obvious GF and Nintendo don't care anymore when the series sells better on mobile anyway.
