How do you think it should be handled? I think there should be different options, such as manually making certain pokemon receive exp, being able to enable or disable the team from all receiving exp (and if it is enabled, the percentage of exp distributed), or having the exp share distribute exp to the lowest level pokemon only.

the same way it was handled before gen 6. A missable item you only find by actually working for it instead of being more shitty casualization.

I agree with you on how it should be worked for. Gen 1's exp all was a complete mess, but gen 2 had you going back to Mr. Pokemon to exchange a red scale for his exp share (this time, not a shitty item).

I like the way that the Exp. Share is handled now. Make it optional for grinding or for newer/inexperienced players. Those who don't want to use it can just turn it off.

I'm playing ORAS with exp share off and it's a chore. Exp share on is too easy and off is torture. I'm in the early game and I am forced to grind now. Exp share was better as a held item.

exp share and lucky egg should be the same item, basically the exp share functions like in gen 2 through 5 but if the pokemon holding it wins the battle on their own they get boosted xp.

Also when the Pokemon in battle is level 100, the one in the back of the party holding the Exp. Share gets all the xp.

Tjen you’re garbage. Only time you might have to grind in ORAS with the Exp Share off is right before taking on the league, and that too should be fine if you do most of the optional areas first.

It's fine if everyone gains exp and levels as long as the game itself isn't undermined by the fact, make trainers more challenging, give trainers better/more pokemon and generally just revise the level scaling so that you would be at 80 or even 100 towards the end of the game but npcs would also be up there with you
It's a good idea cuz no one actually likes grinding, the games are just too easy for it

In RSE all pokemon have shit moves and you can use the exp. share item. In ORAS pokemon have moves that can OHKO. ORAS was designed for modern exp. share. There are not even any good places to grind early game. Granite cave is inaccessible except for a tiny sliver. I had to fucking fish magikarp for xp. There are even fewer npc in the beach at slateport.

Every early game is the same. Without any kind of exp share you always have to grind. You have to run around in the grass until your pokemon are at least the same level as the npc.

I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

If they really want to make the game easier just fucking bring back difficulty settings.
Have the normal mode which is the basic Pokemon game. Exp. Share is a held item which shares Exp. with one other pokemon.
In easy, it's a key item that can be turned on to spread Exp to the entire party.
In hard mode, it cannot be obtained.

I hate how gamefreak keeps trying to casualize their games, making it pathetically easy for the normal consumer without even adding the option to change your difficulty, basically forcing you to play a boring game.

Good luck difficulty settings are beyond gamefreak but to be fair they are beyond most modern game developers. Just pray they don't make the games any easier.
