Gen 3, counting frlg and RSE, is the best gen overall. I agree gen 5 is peak of battle mechanics with some tweaks in gen 6 being appreciated, and the special/physical split is an improvement, but black and white are tedius games with mostly bad or boring designs (a few are great though) and a terrible level up curve, gen 5 is only good for bw2
