I think this may unironically be my favorite pokemon. I'm not even a bandwagoner usually, but Corviknight is incredible.

Perhaps.
I also would've liked it to be Flying/Dark rather than Flying/Steel, but this is not a very popular stance.

That's also pretty bad. I can't understand why they made Giga Corviknight look almost identical to the regular one, aside from a couple extra grooves or bumps in the armor and those weird flying drone things around it. Giga Alcremie looks very different from its normal form, so why didn't Corviknight get the same treatment?

It looks like a fusion between Skarmory and Honchkrow, good design but at this point they're just deleting old pokemon and replacing them with look alikes like Wooloo and Mareep and Whimsicott/Jumpluff with Eldegoss

I miss skarmory already. He got fucked over when they buffed his twin Mantine in Gen 7 but left his stats and movepool the same. But now they are altogether removing him in Gen 8. Rip.

Having ominous appearance or being ferocious has nothing to do with being evil, it's something that can be related to the defence of itself or its kinds. Indeed this mon is actually opposite of evil, looking at the job it does for Galar.

Nah, I'm burned out on any european knight themed anything.
Played too many games that used it now the entire theme is just boring to me.
If it was japanese or anything else (except wild west shit we have 0 mons based on that and that's exactly how many should exist, wild west is dead as a genre as far as I'm concerned, boring as fuck)

Anyway, the site doesn't say "ferocious" nor "ominous", but uses other terms and gives to it a more defensive meaning, rather than actually being evil. While with Umbreon, the pokédex says "striking fear", which is something that it does directly and for hunting purpose (indeed the dex says "It lurks in darkness and waits for its foes to move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack.")

If this is accurate, seems like its stats are all a bit better than Skarmory's, except for Defense and maybe Speed. Overall, I'm not too impressed. I was hoping for a radically different stat spread than Skarmory, so they'd fulfill entirely different roles, but it seems like they're both slow and bulky physical attackers, more or less.

I like it but I doubt I'll use it. The rival and everyone else will probably use it and I don't like using the same mons as the rival or every other player.
