The MESHES are the same for most pokemon. Only one that's been really different so far has been Pikachu which now has a real mouth, but that is likely cause it's the same Pikachu model they used for LGPE where they gave it a mouth.
The TEXTURES have been remade. It's hard to tell here if they were totally remade or if they used the originals as a base, but the fact remains that they have clearly made the textures higher resolution and modified lineweights across them so now small details have thinner lines. Prior, they HAD to make those details have really thick lines to show through the 3DS resolution. Mincinno's eyes are clearly something that was edited further as they have a whole different shape even.
