I don't really see a non-pokefag enjoying pmd that much if they don't care about the story.
and honestly, compared to other mystery dungeon games, let alone other roguelikes, pmd generally isn't all that great either. Also, roguelikes are kind of niche anyway.

Air Ride was a criminally underbaked, solid mechanics and good car variety. If it had at least double the tracks and better balance it would have been 10/10.
At least city trial was fun for what it was.
