Haven't payed attention to anything Pokemon related since a few weeks after USUM release. What's with the new games? Are they going to be worth buying a Switch for? I heard they're not going to include all Pokemon.

in my opinion no, not at all. I own a switch and I'm not going to buy them.

Yup. That means you won't even be able to transfer them from other games. Just imagine how much this narrows down the scope of things you can do in therse games. And their reasons for it are pretty stupid and sound very much like lies.
