Remixes like this shows how uncreative and generic Shota Kageyama's renditions are. Go Ichinose's DP Victory Theme, Battle Subway, BW Mystery Gift, SM Pokemon Center have a unique flavour while Kageyama's is pretty much a generic 1 to 1 recreation

You know, I can't pick a single game/generation with the best soundtrack, they each really have so many things that make them stand out.
I'd likely just call it a three-way tie between GSC, RSE, and BW honestly, they're all so good.

No. Most was unmemorable or downright bad, like the low HP battle music or gym leaders’ last Pokemon theme. Awful decisions there, and they were so awful that that’s most of what I remember from the soundtrack.
Except for Nimbasa. That song was great.

There's Driftveil too, but that's about it. The gym leader theme is good, but because they're so dreadfully easy and then it plays the last pokemon theme, you barely hear it.

Sandstorm, Russkij Pusskij, Justin Smith John, Culmination, Know Your Morality, Tormented Soul, Spanish Flea, X-Files, Casin, Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time, Fight Me Dum Dum, Memes and Dubs and Everything Nice.
They all sound so satisfying for me in the shitty FRLG soundfont.

BW2's soundtrack is way better. Kageyama ruined BW's soundtrack just like he did with HGSS. Bringing back Sato and Ichinose together for the BW2 soundtrack after DP was the best decision. Kageyama makes either generic, uninteresting or just downright unbearable bad tracks. His peak was in XY, and even that has a lot of generic tracks.

Eh it's an okay soundtrack to me but nothing special minus a few tracks. I appreciate how the themes changed up slightly depending on your exact location, whether you were moving, and the seasons, but the songs themselves are too short and repetitive.
