How would you fix EV, IV, and Natures? On the one hand they add interesting variation between Pokemon, but on the other hand they just mean that in order for people to play competitively you have to autistically breed for the perfect batch of random numbers.

The ability to modify EV’s, IV’s, and Natures when you battle in an official tournament online.

Keep the randomness for ingame playthroughs and local battles against friends.

Natures and EV’s are totally fine the way they are. It is incredibly easy to get the nature/spread you want now thanks to new breeding mechanics and super training/Pelego. Just make IV’s standard (except for Pokémon who know hidden power) for online matches/official tournaments and you’re good

i don't like Natures either since they cannot be changed but the flavor of Natures is greater

Make Natures changable through the salon or contests or something. That way you keep the flavor but can justify it by their personality changing through growth and self-discipline

evs are fine, but if I had to change them I might make it so the location where you fight a pokemon determines the ev you get, not the pokemon itself. so you go train in a cave/mountain to increase your physical defense
I'd consider paring down natures to just the ones that people use. definitely make it so that with training you can change the nature at least a bit. this is based on the current amount of natures, but maybe you could train a careful pokemon to be any of the natures directly surrounding it on the table or something like that. definitely make it so overworld pokemon behave a certain way based on their natures so you can see if it's timid or brave

Evs are okay, especially if we have super training
We just need a therapist or something to modify the natures, make bottle caps easier to obtain (like at the cost of 2bp) and move hyper training to lv50, while having those facilities in the postgame

Best post in the entire thread, though I don't mind bottle caps being level 100 restricted because it isn't that hard to grind out to level 100. EV's can be changed on the fly and IV's can be corrected. Being able to change natures is the only thing left.
