Why is Ground such a retarded and arbitrarily assigned typing? You want me to believe these two are related? There are so many interesting concepts like Sound and Light that could have typings, but we get "Ground."

What bothers me is the distinction between ground and rock, it's too similar for me it should just merge into one type

This but unironically. All Pokémon fight, who ever prioritized Fighting before Sound is a douche. The type turned out alright. I really like it in execution. 95% of them are based on irl fighting techniques. But the ones that aren't, like the muskadeers are pure ass. It is the 2nd most "asspull" type.

Dark takes the cake though. Being a douche, the type, the lifestyle. It's more than that but just barely. Don't explain the concept I get it, I can enjoy it. But if one type had to go. It'd be Dark. Elemental darkness is an extreme rarity because it overlaps heavily with Ghost types thanks to Gengar being the flagship ghost in gen 1.

Flying is the most cucked fucking type in existence. It's a literal subtype with three exceptions. Who ever decided that primary Flying types shouldn't exist deserves to be shot.

But Ground is specifically tied to the horizontal plain. It doesn't mean "dirt you find on the floor", it's "the floor itself". That's why the tiled floor of a building can be "Ground", or the ocean floor can be "Ground", but a collection of gravel is "Rock".
