I can't take people who look at this big cartoon owl and see "numale school shooter" seriously. That's some rank-ass meme.
Yeah, owls are silent fliers of the night and archers in extreme cases can be assassins but Decidueye looks way too fun to stress any supposed hardcore aspects of its concept. It doesn't look OR act like a soulless killer. Heck, the idea is made even more tame by it only shooting its arrows at the shadows of its targets to immobilize them or damage them with "anime energy explosions" in both the games and anime.
