It sells merch though, not fucking groceries. You can realistically only buy so much merch. Unless you're a true collector or a reseller. They rarity of some items are what make them valued and is a good excuse to not make batches of them for years at a time.

It's typical of an expanding franchise to test the stability of market by having a temporary store.

They'll have limited stock, sell everything, and expect to do so, but if they have consistent traffic sustainable to business over the period they will consider building a permanent store.

I was there in Paris when they opened up the pokemon center. They was already opening it the day before it should launch and got overrun the evening before already and ppl bought so much - on launch day everyone was allowed only 2 pieces to buy - later that day it was only one and on the second day they was almost bought off and had to order stuff from around the toy stores - and the shop was supposed to stay for like 2-3 weeks.
