removed: natdex, megas, zmoves
new: gigatimaxing (with megas and zmoves), a wild area, raid battles and new multiplayer features, overworld pokémon (with random encounters and wild battles), we finally get a league tournament at the end of the game like in the anime. Also we get new pokémon/characters/story/overworld/etc . In addition, the graphics are improved and animation are either the same OR improved (see flame charge).
Overall some other features may be removed but they will for sure reveal many more features too.
UNLESS you are someone that spends most of your time transferring pokémon to make a living dex or something, there is more content for most players.
