Just trying to match it up with the alolan form.
I thought it would be cool with the pincers and armor, diversifies fossils more too.
New type made sense to me and it kinda removes it's nasty flying animation.
So my idea was to make kings rock allow pokemon to evolve and get a psychic type but slowbro is already a psychic so I just went with a monotype.
My only argument really.
I have never understood it's steel type like what is it, his spikes? But he's based off of anubis the god of death and uses a lot of supernatural forces with him, I don't think ghost should be relegated to only dead things but anything supernatural, so with his aura being of fighting and his theme matching more with ghosts than steel.
So these go hand in hand by giving samurott fighting a trio of secondary types can be added, with primarina being fairy serperior fit into that well enough, I remember before black and white came out in an interview they said that emboars was inspired by the pipes and pistons throughout the zoo they visited, also some of these pokemon got robbed out of a steel type, that's the point of the image to retype them to what I thought fit.
This one was added for oni theme, and too many monotype fightings in the gen, this one was the only one I considered leaving out.
