And EVs should be changed to look more like a standard stat distribution system like (wait for it...) dark souls, like you get your evs as normal when battling opponents, but they don't immediately go into a specific stat, you're the one who chooses where to assign them.
Of course, that's why pokémon fans are unable to fathom any kind of real significant change to the Pokemon formula, that's why fangames change basically nothing machanic-wise.
