In Sun and Moon Z-moves only lasted ONE TURN. In Sword and Shield you can use Z-moves THREE TURNS IN A ROW. So it's obvious that Dynamax is more balanced... just use protect.

actually if you use protect you get shield with layers to break for 3 turns so no, it's even worse

You probably don't want this to be your main SR setter considering they can just Defog after your Gigantamax ends and that Corviknight, which is shaping up to be a legitimately good Pokemon, can use Gigantamax to get rid of your rocks just as easily as you set them up. So you'd probably have to use a real SR setter anyways, which means you're using a Water/Rock shitmon (probably) just to have... a second SR setter? Massively overrated mon.
