>Game plays similarly to Star Allies>Plot is where RR take over Popstar and neighbouring planets, having their HQ on an outer edge of the system that houses the planets>Now the Pokémon typings become regular copy abilities, and certain characters now take other established abilities that don't fit with the 18 (e.g. MK is Sword, Dedede is Hammer)>Normal gives no copy ability, Fire/Water/Grass/Fighting/Rock/Ice/Ghost/Poison work as their respective Kirby counterparts>Flying acts as a mix between Wing, Jet and Tornado, Electric acts as a mix between Plasma and Beam, Bug acts as a mix between Spider and Beetle, Ground acts as a mix between Wheel and Needle with a few other techniques, Psychic acts as a mix between Mirror and ESP, Dragon is similar to Animal but has different techniques, Dark acts similar to Ninja but has different techniques, Steel acts as a mix between Cutter and Metal, and Fairy acts as a mix between Cleaning and MagicAll Pokemon used for the new copy abilities are mainly Grunt Pokémon
>Guzma, Sophocles, Lillie and Wicke ate helping Kirby and co. to fight against RR in different ways (Guzma, Lillie and Wicke can act as a side ability during gameplay for a single use, while Sophocles creates a Vikavolt themed device that acts as a replacement for the Warp Star since it was stolen by RR during the invasion)>Guzma can destroy all destructible obstacles in the current frame (e.g. destructible blocks, enemies), Lillie gives the Invincibility Candy effect when used and Wicke fills the health bar back to full1/2
