But it's easy to say that the Grass starter will end up in a shit tier on Smogon unless it has Steel or maybe Rock as a secondary typing. The Fire starter is better off with a secondary typing, but it seems that Scorbunny's final is pure Fire, which makes it a lot worse than most dual Fire-types. Sobble has the best chance of making it in a high tier.
VGC. None of the starters will do that well there because they don't seem to be that suited for doubles right now.
Shilled. I can see Scorbunny, the soccer mon, getting shilled treatment. Grookey gets the least recognition.
