Who has ever played a mainline console entry for Pokémon and thought, wow, I have enjoyed the past 7 entries and certainly can’t wait for another one? Instead of three reasons to experience the focal point for the direction of the entire franchise that we are all supposed to simultaneously love and act like the worst games on the planet, I’ll give three things we all should care about more than SWSH.
1. Old mystery dungeon entries! Clearly, without the National dex, the only answer to GameFreak’s laziness is another game style entirely developed by a different company with no new Pokémon or interconnected features whatsoever, made a decade ago!
2. TemTem! The new graphics are totally horrible so you should play the most generic monster rip off game with NeoPets style graphics instead.
3. Masters! If we can’t have every feature we’ve ever wanted we should only have one, the battling, stripped down to the most basic elements and relying entirely on old character nostalgia (because Kanto pandering sucks right?)
