>>39620557I feel like Gen 7 was definitely a step up from from XY in terms of storytelling. Obviously there were some faults (Lillie's very existence being one of them) but overall the characters had more tangible personalities. Guzma and Lusamine (from SM. They BUTCHERED her in USUM) were some of the best Pokemon villains we've had in a while. I do wish there were some changes, namely you not being such a fucking special snowflake and saving the world for the umpteenth time, but overall if Ohmori could lay off the waifufaggotry, he could definitely tell a decent story.
Also while I'm at it I think Masuda's at his best when he's doing music. He should go back to that.
