Zygarde was a special case - it hadn't gotten its focus arc, so they held it back as a distribution and kept the lock on in Alola. But Xerneas and Yvetal had gotten theirs so were unlocked. Not to mention the Gen V box legends were huntable in ORAS. Sonds like you're just being a little sóy Game Freak lock story-relevant 'mons in their initial appearances nowadays.

The games wouldn't even WORK with a Zygarde-focused plot anyways! That's why the anime had its own canon Zygarde focus arc

We already see this. No one ever ignores a full odds shiny, yet its not uncommon for a lgpe """shiny hunter""" tip completely ignore a shiny they already have 5 of from the past month of play

Why not have Zygarde appear in 10% form here and there shadowing Flare, forming up to 50% by the time the plot neared its conclusion (with Lysandre catching both Xerneas/Yvetal) and have you catch and confront Lysandre with 'Garde in a bid to return the ecological balance of the region by dispelling the energy? I mean the base plot made no real sense either, why should the retread worry about it?

They're bringing back all of the legendaries mid-gen in Ultra SWSH or whatever it's gonna be called. Full priced just to use your legendaries and some other old mons again.

They've NEVER been valuable autist, every Generation has brought some method of cheating them in. They're only as valuable as the personal worth you apply to them. I'm sorry you actually think differently, but then again, if youre autistic to think that just because you wasted so much of your life hunting in a pre-Gen V game that makes them worth something, you deserve the butthurt when Game Freak start making them more accessible.

Err, we know nothing about them bar their designs mate. They'll likely get Gigantamax forms that'll instantly put them among the strongest legendaries full stop but their lore will also go a way to determining their power level.

A more simpler design and color pallete and their lore being more properly stated earlier on would make me care more for them too but not only did we get neither, but essentially they need to borrow the power of the very being they set out to fucking defeat
What logic is that even? Rayquaza doesn't borrow power from fucking kyogre and groudon, Kyurem and Base Necrozma are incomplete husks of their normal forms, and the latter is actually a fucking asshole too
So why are these dogs not strong enough without borrowing power from elsewhere especially the very thing they set out to destroy? Lore already sucks without much thought going into it and designs suck so what even is there? nothing essentially so i genuinely have no reason to care, so now why do you?

Because of their relationship - it's not they're unable. They seem to know each other intimately enough that one launching a sneak attack on the other is not met with force and a counter-attack but allowing the attack to land and weather the strike, knowing it was merely a sparing blow. The fact they immediately cover each other's flanks and blind spots when the gust of wind kicks up shows they're comfortable enough fighting as a pair also. If they're not sibling/packmates in-lore, I'd be greatly surprised given the clues for it seem to be there and fighting as a pair against Eturnatus as that's what they did as guardians of Galar wouldn't surprise me either. Remember two wolves are always stronger than one.
