Isn't this kid canonically one of the strongest trainers? He can't be older than ten but he manages to consistently defeat the E4 (which may be the weakest E4, but they're still very strong trainers).

The Alola E4 is the youngest out of all regions. Kukui's effort is commendable, but given how new it is, its members can't be as competent/experienced as those of other, older E4s.

Are you retarded? The Alola E4 is the only instance in which a kid other than the MC manages to defeat everyone.
All the other leagues only lose to the MC, which is always said to be a prodigy. This is a common theme in all games, the MC is an outlier, not a normal kid.

My idiot self forgot to add the ages of everyone else. Well regardless, in Gen 5, the only "kid" to have beaten the Elite 4 is Iris, while everyone else is 16+.
