Why do we need an evil team in every game?
Why not just have an evil pokemon(s) and have it just be that?

To have a generic antagonistic trainer class.
But yeah, since they already pulled off the "not the actual bad guys" shtick with team skull, those feel like a bit if a repeat. Also it's even more freaking obvious with the guy having a design that stands out so much that they're just copy-pasted, christ. Could have at least made one more variant for both genders.

I can only imagine how fucking hilarious sitting in a board room and listening to the conversation GF was having about what they should name their new villainous team would have been like.
I mean shit man, at this point just make them Team Neo Flare or some bullshit. At least being Team Flare they would be in a relatively similar region (france and the uk being so close geometrically) and they've done it before with gen 1 and 2.
Still a better feel to it than whatever this Yell shit is.
