Team Yell was conceptualized months ago, and the whole toxic fanbase only exploded recently after the E3 trailer, until that event, nobody really talked that much about shills and haters, as by far there was no such thing as culling the pokedex
Team Yell is based on hooligans, who are known to blindly support their team and will do anything for them, causing havoc and fighting enemy hooligans, sometimes trying to interrupt matches and players, this has nothing to do with toxic fanbases, this is just related to the sports and British culture themes, they just want a strawman for their future "arguments" about how supporting multimillion companies and not asking for better is "being a good fan".
Team Yell is said to do anything as long as Marnie wins, they will boycott other players, block gyms and roads and even attack other players. Their devotion to Marnie is one of religious terms, they will sport anything that says Marnie, argue against anyone who isn't fan of Marnie and support Marnie no matter what. If wanted, dexfags could use this as a strawman for shills, as they represent more blind and gutless fans than critical ones.
