It genuinely looks like the best game since 2D and if Dexit didn't happen you wouldn't be bitching as much.

That said Dexit is still a legit problem that deserves criticism

We had literally 4 games, but since sm==usum and oras was an already made game we had 2 games since 2D

Dexit or not, I still think the designs are fucking abominations and everything looks godawful. I really wanted to like this game I really did, I didn't let my dislike of gen 7 influence my opinion of this gen and I eagerly awaited it, but jesus, dude. Everything shown so far is fucking atrocious, these creatures can barely be called Pokemon, the artstyle of the game in general is seriously jarring, and there's genuinely nothing I've liked so far. I don't dislike the game because I want to be some edgy negative anon or some shit, I really, really just don't find it appealing in the slightest and think most decisions so far have been for the worse.

No shit it looks better than games that have been almost exclusively on portables. Even then it arguably looks worse than Pokemon Battle Revolution for the fucking Wii, a two-generation old console that was even underpowered for its time.

The issue is that they've also just been recycling the same models and animations since XY, a game that came out in 2013. Pokemon looking better than it has in the past is such a pointless metric that it's baffling how often people feel like they need to point it out.

The green puffs of smoke around wheezing aren't even animated. They don't puff out of it like in past games and they aren't sucked into it as it's description suggests it should. They just float there like puffy lime colored marshmallows.

I'm disappointed that region variants are still a thing. It was fine for one game but redesigning Pokemon every year just isn't a great idea. Some look good but putting a moustache and top hat on Weezing is exactly the kind of thing people complain about with recent gen design and objectmons.

Well yeah, the key word is “as much”. A lot of animations are still robotic as fuck and most of the routes we’ve seen look like dogshit. Dynamax isn’t doing it for me either, I thought the idea of a power up gimmick with no bias towards certain Pokémon was a fun idea but gigantamaxing shits all over that concept in favor of Charizard getting another marketable form.

I always like the majority of Pokemon designs, it's a shame that the rest of the game looks like it had less effort put into it than the 3DS games (but costs $20 more). The national dex isn't even the biggest problem, OP is a fag as usual.
