this is yet another trailer full of unpolished footage that no other company would look at and say "this is acceptable"

Sure, I like the new regional variants. But was recoloring zigzagoon and adding a tophat to weezing really that much of an ask from GameFreak? So many people are acting like because they did one simple thing right we should suddenly be grateful and not acknowledge all of the things they're still not delivering the best on.
