Lillie is not royalty just a spoiled brat daughter of a CEO, she is embarrassed of her mother, and can't even touch a pokemon, she is not rebelling she is just being a spoiled brat, and AFAIK she is not disguised.
Marnie is royalty, is rebelling against her mother, wants a normal life, and goes against the whole princess thing. She is in disguise, (technically).
Team Skull are just a bunch of delinquent faggots without personality that can't integrate in society.
Team Yell is based in mindless hooligans cheering for a punk girl that represents their ideology, when in reality she is fucking royalty.
Not gonna say the plot is completely different but, if you measure plot similarity in broad concepts like: girl, rich family, being a brat=rebelling, using a legendary at some point, you could even say the plot is a ripoff of James/Kojiro story, just with a boy instead.
