>>39656203Don't forget:
For the battle institute, if someone hasn't been online in a while you CANNOT use them. On top of that, NPC Trainers are always at the base level so they will only ever use level 50 pokemon. This means that you could be stuck with two level 50 pokemon while you're having to fight things that are levels 50-100, depending on your rank. Yes, this will get you fucked over a LOT because of this terrible fucking oversight.
Also the "boss" is just fucking Giovanni of all things, as a speechless program, and the battles themselves aren't very fun, especially if you're stuck with one or two level 50 NPCs to fight anything level 60 and above (because that's when it goes from 'mild annoyance' to 'outright hinderance'). Also, after level 60 it will require two consequtive victories (iirc) to actually up your level, meaning it now takes twice as long to go from 60 -> 70 as it did to get from 50 -> 60. I don't know if this holds true because I got so fed up with the damn thing I quit at that point due to how tedious and frustratingly dull it is.
The only good thing about the Institute is that with each grade-up you get a rare candy and a truck load of FC, which is useful if you have something worth using it on like the kitchens that let you level up a shitload if you have the FC for it. But it's just not worth it after a point. It's just so damn boring.
