Marill wasnt really compared to pikachu in the games or anime, minus MAYBE one short and even thats debatable, much and on top of that if it were a pikachu clone then that would make it the only one with a non electric typing, lack of cheaks, has its own pre-evolution, and one that actually evolves into something that isnt pikachu. Mimikyu doesnt count with that list since it's just acting like a fake pikachu clone while not actually being one. Like pikablu was a fan creation, they didnt even make that name up
