It peaked with HGSS, but BW and BW2 weren't huge steps down, just understandable dips because HGSS was just that damn good. Franchise has been in a nosedive ever since.

Want me to go on? Gen VII is absolutely garbage and most definitely the lowpoint in the mainline series.
