I remember how I got him in silver just to carry HMs and helped me carry to the end, wish he wasn't a shitmon so I could at least use him more in competitive and he would have a chance to get in

Yeah, a few pokemon got buffs. They're usually pretty minor, 10 extra bst, but they helped. Alakazam is the only one I can remember off the top of my head though,
