What is this guys obsession with turning old pokemon into people and turning new pokemon into food/objects?

Why doesn't he just stick to making normal looking pokemon like Wooloo and Corviknight?

He's the art director, not the one designing all the new Pokemon.

He just has the job that Sugimori had for previous generations.

There are other artists who design Pokemon, and they come to Sugimori/Turner for approval.

That list is wrong though, the gear line were designed by Sugimori.

He designed the Vanilluxe line, Golurk + golett, vullaby line, phantump line, buzzwole, guzzlord and poipole
