I was baffled when I saw Ash's battle against Hau at the league. His alolan team is fucking shit. Post your opinions.

He has at least one non-evolved Pokemon on this team every gen, not counting Pikachu. They kept Rowlet as a Rowlet because of its massive popularity. This is nothing new.

BW had Krookodile as his ace and Pignite who at least was a bit good and Johto has Pokemon like Heracross and Noctowl.

Noctowl is the worst fucking example you could have used. It didn't get good until it was used in the Sinnoh League. Before that, it was a shitmon.

Rowlet is actually the second most-used Pokemon after Pikachu. He just doesn't do much outside of that because any time that Rowlet doesn't spend battling or training is spent sleeping.

No, it was only the quarterfinal battle, Ash's Rowlet vs Hau's Decidueye

There was a fakeout where it looked like Ash lost, which is what people were actually butthurt about. It wasn't Decidueye losing to Rowlet that people were upset about, it was the rug being pulled from under Hau and Decidueye's feet.
