serperior looks like a rough draft, its not the worst but could easily be improved.
infernape looks like a fakemon and its design elements dont mesh together well. that applies to serperior too.
gen 4 starters knew exactly what they wanted to do and cant obviously be improved. I don't get how anyone can think infernape is a problem but emboar isnt.
you can disagree, people like flawed things all the time, but gen 5 starters literally look like fakemon designed by 1 single person whereas every other gen of starters look like real pokemon with thought put into them.
i dont think anyone would disagree that gen 4 wins the middle evolution department though
