>>39675270>>39675333>>39675545If you insist that getting every mon in Home doesn't count cause you don't catch them in the actual game, you literally have only been able to "Catch 'em all" in one game: Yellow.
EVERY other game has required a connection to another game to acquire every Pokemon. Not a single one has had every Pokemon available in one game.
Hell, even Yellow doesn't count if you account for trade evolutions which also require you to connect to another game.
And ever since transfering became a thing, you've always had to connect to MULTIPLE games to be able to catch 'em all since you have to get a transfer from one game and trade evolutions/exclusives from another.
This narrow view of "catching them all only counts if I can stick every mon into the PC of one specific game" was flawed from the very start.
Hell, S/S may actually be the first games since Yellow people can actually 100% without resorting to hacked mons or huge amounts of trading and transfering. Getting every Pokemon available in a game is just as much "catching them all" as gathering mon from tons of other games into a single one to say you caught them all. One is certainly easier than another, but it's still the same idea that you have acquired everything the game has to offer.
