Wait wait wait - so if I'm understanding this right, the reason we haven't had any cross-gen evolutions since Gen IV* is because Game Freak can't be bothered to rework Eviolite to be compatible with Pokémon it previously couldn't be used with? And so the only reason Obstagoon is an exclusive evolution to Galarian Linoone is because Linoone-G is *technically* a new Pokémon.

Anyone still convinced Game Freak aren't one of the most outdated game developers known to man?
