All of that is almost universally fans of different gens and not Galar particular. Even when people looking forward to Gen 8 do this, it's been typically in defensive response to dexit folks shitting on the new games though similar problems or complaints to the ones being used to talk them down being relevant to previous gens.

The folks that hate gen 8 are clearly fans, but most insist that the games are irredeemable and that the franchise is shit now while still clinging onto it and flaming about it all over the place.
