Nah. I didnt like the music, story, challenge, characters, visuals and the region was boring. Most of the designs are meh and few i like. I dont like the greninja and chesnaught pre evos and i dont like the fennekin line at all.

Kalos was forgettable. Worst thing a game can be. I don’t remember the name of a single gym leader, or a single town. I don’t remember the names of those shorty rivals except for the hot one that tries to suck your dick when fireworks go off. I remember there being a free handout of a strong Pokémon in almost every town. I remember there being nothing to do after the league.

The only good thing about XY was prebank PSS. The trading threads here were maximum comfy. Honestly the last time I enjoyed Pokémon. So it’s got that going for it.

I liked it. Lumiose was one of the most interactable cities ever and the best hub city in the entire series. You could add any Pokémon to your party at any time due to the Battle Chateau, which was great because of the fact that there was such a selection. I had some struggles now and again, but I opted out of using starters, megas, and I even used a Wooper unevolved (as of writing it is level 100). I think had I used megas and starters it would have been way easier. Also, I used a Pangoro and 4 Ice types. Customization was great, and I tried to make myself look like a Worker from B/W. I think Friend Safaris are really nice too, and I wish we could have threads for them again. Overall it was a fun experience and if it had a postgame like a Battle Frontier, /vp/ would dicksuck it into oblivion.

It was done dirty. I can say I like it as much as I can say that about Ruby or Pearl. I "like it" but I'm fully aware that it's a subpar product and I was waiting for the finished version to complete it.
It had a free pass since it was the first 3D game in a new console, but a proper postgame and Zygarde storyline and move tutors and other stuff were awaiting for me in Pokemon Z.

But Z never came out so I feel frustrated thinking back on Gen 6.

Kalos was thoroughly enjoyable just pretty unimpressive especially after B2W2. The nugen mons were few (72 iirc not including Megas) so it didn't feel as fleshed out a region compared to the other games.
Megas were cool, although probably unreasonably unbalanced, and they gave a huge drive to explore the region and do everything to get every mega stone.
Team Flare sucked don't even get me started.
Weak post game content too.
Feels pretty weak for a Pokemon game in between B2W2 and ORAS but it was fun enough to be memorable.

It's good but when I say that I don't think any mainline pokemon games are out right bad. The graphics reminded of a PS1 Rpg (Not as in it looks bad but chibi overworld models and the more detailed battle models reminded me of FF7 which is nice), I enjoyed the location of kalos being based off france (if anything I like how the new games are based off other countries besides japan. Because I like seeing what famous landmarks and building designs and layouts of countries.) but the lack of new pokemon was disappointing, the enemy team is worse than team rocket in terms of character and motivation, the "rivals" are a little too friendly for my liking, the music was forgettable, The fact there are almost no megas until post game is weird and even though none of the pokemon games are hard, the lack of challenge in this game was actually shocking. Besides that I liked it for what it was. I think ORAS and BW2 were a lot better, but I still enjoyed XY.

Routes design was great and so it was encounter variety (can you hear me, Alola?), cities had great personality, new mons were fairly common to find and also well designed, dynamic weather was great, colors were vivid and beautiful. I feel sorry for Kalos not to have a third game.
Pokémon Z would have made the region as memorable as Platinum made Sinnoh.
X/Y were at least as good as Diamond and Pearl, and Kalos was far better than Sinnoh under almost every aspect, but Gen6 is not and will never be as loved as Gen4 by the fandom because it lacks the third version.
However, I won't forget you, Kalos.

Unpopular Opinions ahead:

>Pro
-Mega evolution made some mons relevant again
-powercreep wasn't too bad, at least compared to Gens 5 and 7
-some new designs were legit interesting like Trevenant and Aegislash
-as someone who has spent a lot of time in Paris, I enjoyed how a lot of the architecture and town designs fit the French style
-some of the music was good
-the behind the shoulder cave sections and rideable Pokemon sections felt immersive
-Fighting/Dark/Psychic starter trio is something I always wanted
-Super Training and Horde battles are legit fut for EV training
-Pokemonamie is a fun time waster
-PSS was great
-fairy type was a nice attempt to balance the Dragon power creep from Gen 5

>Cons
-story is all over the place
-not challenging
-post game is weak
-frame rate drops especially in horde battles
-few new Pokemon
-fairies have low stats and few good moves
-some megas are clearly busted and overpowered

Personally, I feel it gets a bad rap and it's up there as one of my favorite gens with 2 and 5.
