>>39688852Original series had some great voice acting, and it fleshed out pokemon a lot. Honestly the anime might have determined more about modern pokemon than the original games did, especially when you consider all the redesigns and worldbuilding the TV show accomplished. Basically, the gen1 experience was a multimedia experience that gained a lot from it's seperate parts, while new pokemon just doesn't have pokemania to heighten the experience.
But otherwise, nostalgia bias, new series is clearly better animated.
