Because it isn't a remake of Emerald as it should have been. This and the decision of rushing gen VII skipping Z was what ruined the series.

skipping z was fine. 3rd versions are retarded. What they should have done was just not made ORAS and spend an extra year making XY better.

I need third versions to satisfy my autistic need of a canon version of the history. If anything the dual version should go they should do just a sole "third version".

I don’t hate it, but I think it disappoints in some aspects. The casualization is pretty bad considering the OG games were really easy already and they didn’t add as many areas as I wished they did. Postgame content was just a copypasta of the Miason and while Episode Fug was fun, it just amounts to a lengthy exposition dump.

Despite the better hardware most of the map is a tile for tile recreation which makes the region feel a lot smaller because the characters are bigger.
Didn't have the improvements that Emerald had such as more double battles.
Most of the soundtrack remained too close to the originals and some tracks come across as downright lazy, unlike the previous two remakes where they took more liberties in recreating the music.
I don't hate ORAS. I just find it to be a very mediocre remake of a good game
