People who spout this as defense sicken me. Duraldon is an insult to Mecha Godzilla. MG at least had fingers and knees. Duraldon looks like it could be beaten by tipping it over.

There's never been a pokémon design I hated (or indeed felt any strong negative emotion towards I either like a design or I accept it as part of the canon and move on with my life)
On the other hand, seeing people spack out this badly because of a new design entertains me greatly, just goes to show how actually "grown up" the person on the other end is.

Literally nothing wrong with Gigalith. It's an original rock monster and not a M.O.G.U.E.R.A. knock-off like Dur-aldick. It's shape resembles a mountain and a lizard. Duraldon, like stated earlier, has to wobble awkwardly to move, has no fingers or knees but really wide feet for awkward movement, and would not be able to get up if it tipped over. The poor thing seriously looks like its existence is suffering.

Duraludon has an interesting method of attack where his entire body is clearly too impervious and inflexible that he has to lean while unhinging his head backwards. Duraludon has neat lore reasons for his odd mineral-wrecking hands. Duraludon has an interesting type. His inspiration on the classic kaiju villain is fun ant dies into Tyranitar's classic appearance. And he does all that while being a waddling cartoon dinosaur.

He is an inspired and funny weirdo.

Gigalith has an interesting method of attack where his entire body is clearly too impervious and inflexible that he needs to charge the crystals around his body to unleash attacks. Gigalith has neat lore reasons for his odd crystal spikes. Gigalith has an underrated type. His inspiration on the classic golem monster is original and let's it stand alone without having to rely on pop culture references to be interesting. And he does all that while being a waddling rock lizard.

He is an original and creative dynamo.

Gigalith's in-game animations don't remotely do anything similar to that crystal thing, and even if it did, it sounds like generic anime "make part glow then it shoots beam". The crystal spike lore reasoning is not neat by any form you cut it. He is not 'inspired on classic golem monster' in any form, we have an ACTUAL GOLEM in his generation and it's clear not what Gigalith was going for. And he doesn't waddle, he just does generic videogame monster walking.

Your arguments hold no ground.
