>>39697861Maybe it's nostalgia. I played Crystal for the first time after finishing Sun and was surprised by some of the similarities. The most major one was how you had to go out of your way to find the new mons. As someone who likes making a team of new regional pokemon, I absolutely loathe going into grass at the start of pokemon games and finding Pidgeys, Rattatas, Caterpies, ect. The gen feels like an expansion rather than a new game. Ended up having to use Kantomons because I had no other choice. At least there were just enough Alolan pokemon strewn about to make a team around in gen 7.
